Celebrating Dr. Seuss

Dr. Seuss has always been a favorite in our house.  Even before my son could put two words together, he loved to listen to the funny rhyme of Green Eggs and Ham. For this reason, I styled his second birthday party all around his favorite Dr. Seuss books.  This is the fun invitation we came up with.  I ordered the digital cutouts and digital papers from etsy and designed the card myself. I love how it turned out!

To welcome guests, I made this wreath for the door...

For the party, we had lots of fun Dr. Seuss inspired food...

And, of course, a delicious cake and some Thing 2 cupcakes (because he was turning 2 ;)

Here is what the food table looked like...

Inside I had a table for the guests to sign birthday wishes in the book Happy Birthday to You and some treats and gift bags..

I had to have a place for some fun photographs, so we set up this wood backdrop with a banner I made from some old Dr. Seuss pictures. I also had some fun props, like a hat, some books, silly glasses, and a frame for the guests to have some fun with...

And lastly, a few games for the kids to play...

We had an awesome day full of Seussy (is that a word?) birthday fun!

"Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is youer than you!" -Dr. Seuss
